Banyan Tree Ungasan
Banyan Tree Ungasan is a part of the luxurious Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts chain which had its grand opening in January 2011. Located about 35 minutes away from Ngurah Rai International Airport, the 5-star resort is located near the sacred Uluwatu Temple.
As you arrive in the resort, you will be welcomed with a sound of a Gong, a traditional musical percussion instrument that awakens your senses. Its lobby entrance is huge with very high ceiling that combines natural elements and color such as brown wood, grey stones and off white marbles. Its modern, simple and elegant style blends well with the distinct traditional Balinese touches. Perched 70 metres above sea level on the cliffs of Bali's southernmost peninsula, it offers unrivaled panoramic views of the Indian Ocean.
Situated on the cliff edge, it provides the best view of the Indian Ocean. As you step to the terrace area, the white floor and architecture combined with the magnificent view of the blue ocean and the sound of the waves provides a mystical ambiance that is hard to rival.
The JuMaNa Terrace outdoor area can accommodate for up to 50 persons for ceremony and 100 persons for cocktail party, followed with a fine dining dinner of a maximum of 100 persons in the Restaurant area.
White is the dominant color of JuMaNa Restaurant, a signature restaurant that provides contemporary fine dining with indisputable quality of fusion food and beautiful delicate presentation. The dining area has white ceiling, white clean wall and bleached wooden floor. It also has a full glass wall on one side with a dramatic view of the ocean. This makes the indoor dining area has an outdoor feel. It is the right place for those of you who are looking for a formal wedding ambiance in Bali that delivers great food.
Bambu Restaurant located near the pool is another alternative for those of you who are looking for a larger wedding venue to accommodate for up to 100 persons for ceremony and 200 persons for cocktail party and reception.
Grey stones, green leaves and dark colored wood, are the major elements that makes Bambu's ambience feel very natural and rich with traditional Balinese touches. Bambu Restaurant serves Asian food such as Thai, Vietnamese and local specialties. This can be an added point for those of you who wish to serve delicious local Balinese food to your wedding guests.
The pool at the edge of Bambu is usually set up with a floating stage to give the illusion as if the couple were taking vows above the water.
